My name is Scott Hager, and I have been practicing the art of taxidermy since 2023. What started as a simple hobby quickly grew into a deep passion. In the summer of 2025, I made the decision to leave my traditional 9-to-5 career so I could fully dedicate myself to this craft.

I am an avid hunter, and the majority of my time in the field is spent on public land and properties obtained through knock-on-door permission. More than twenty years of hunting has taught me something important: every animal is hard-earned, and every set of antlers—whether large or small—carries a story that matters deeply to the hunter who took it. That respect for the animal and for the hunter’s experience is the foundation of everything I do.

When a trophy comes into my studio, I treat it with the same care and attention I would give one of my own. My goal is never to rush through a project or cut corners. Quality over quantity will always be the mission at Hager’s Whitetail Workshop.

I am a proud member of the Michigan Taxidermy Association. Whenever time and finances allow, I attend MTA seminars to continue improving my skills. I also enter mounts into competitions each year in order to receive professional critiques and further refine my work.

Thank you for considering my studio to preserve your hard-earned trophies. It is an honor to be trusted with the memories and stories that come with each animal, and I look forward to the opportunity to create a mount you will be proud to display for years to come.
